Hard Work With Link Building Will Pay Off

Link BuildingI am not sure what you have heard or have been doing up to this point when it comes to link building. But let me tell you, if this is done correctly, it is definitely hard work. I know there are programs and software out there which will blast your link all over the web, but does this really help? No, it does not. What you end up with are plenty of your links in places you do not want them to be. The better way is to put in a little hard work, space it out over time, and only use quality sources. Here are a few places you can search to get your link placed.

  1. Social Bookmarking – This is a very good area, but be careful about spamming the internet with this method. There are a few sites out there that will allow you to bookmark to multiple places all at once. This a very good time saver, and if used sparingly, can be very good for links. Most of these social networking sites now are “no follow” links, so the spiders do not end up at your site. But, the link will still count. I would also set up separate social networking sites for each one of your sites, products, or companies. you really don’t want to build a list of followers for a health product, and then start bookmarking automotive links.
  2. Blogs – This can be your own blog, or you can use someone else’s blog. Some bloggers allow people to comment on their sites and allow the links from the users (commenter) to be a “follow” link. This is where the hard work comes in. It takes time to find good blogs like this. Once you do, then ensure you read their entire post, and then offer some good quality feedback on the comments section. Bloggers appreciate this as it also helps their blog. And, if you are lucky enough, they might actually contact you and ask you to be a guest blogger.
  3. Forums – We all know these are good places. I normally steer clear of trying to place links within the post themselves. Just setup a decent signature, track the link you have there, and then post good quality content. It is all about you personally posting the good content at each place. Not having some robot do this sort of work for you. And, don’t try to post on every topic to get your post count up. The long time forum people will see right through that and will call you out on it.
  4. Nonprofit Organizations – This is a jackpot location if you can find it. Try the local Chamber of Commerce, or even some of the local churches. You might offer your services or products for free, and in return, they just post a link on their site linking to your site.
  5. Press Releases – You are always told with article marketing and the likes, not to mention your company until the resources sections. Also, these marketing strategies should not be a blatant advertisement for your website. But, with a press release, none of that matters. This is all about you, your company, and your company’s products and services.  Tell the whole world about you. It is a very good place to generate links. And, most of the news sites pick up press releases, so you may be able to get on Google or Yahoo’s front page of news.

Those are 5 excellent places to get your link published. As you can see, it will take a little more work to make this happen. you should continue with your normal methods of marketing, like articles and video marketing. But when it comes to building links, try the ideas above. It will pay off in the end.
